About Cynon South Churches
Cynon South
Church History
A group of Anglican churches in the Cynon Valley, South Wales, we have a rich history deeply rooted in the local community. Our churches have been a source of spiritual guidance and support for generations, shaping the faith and values of the people in the area.
Together, we are the Cynon Valley South Ministry Area.
Strengthening
Our Faith
Cynon Valley South is an Anglican ministry area proclaiming the Christian faith. We are part of the Church in Wales Diocese of Llandaff.
At Cynon South Churches, we are committed to keeping the faith alive and vibrant. Our community comes together to celebrate and nurture our spiritual beliefs, drawing strength from each other and our shared traditions.
A Spiritual Community
Our church community is more than just a place of worship – it is a supportive and caring family. We have a number of community activities, including Mothers Union, confirmation classes, a baby basics group and Sunday Schools. We welcome everyone with open arms, fostering a sense of belonging and togetherness. Join us in our journey of faith and community service.
Worship With Us
Everyone is welcome at our services, whether you’re new to church or a regular worshipper. The Eucharist—also called Holy Communion, the Lord’s Supper, or Mass—is a special time where we share bread and wine as Jesus taught us. It’s a moment of reflection, connection, and spiritual nourishment.

We offer Eucharist services throughout the week, not just on Sundays. Some are joyful with hymns and readings, while others are quieter and simpler.
Come as you are—we’d love to welcome you!
